Turn your home into an electronic music studio with AR Synth!
An interactive experiment powered by augmented reality, AR Synth is created with 3D scans of five iconic synthesizers from the Swiss Museum for Electronic Music Instruments (SMEM):
- Moog Memorymoog Synthesizer
- ARP Odyssey Synthesizer
- Roland CR-78 Drum Machine
- Akai S900 Sampler
- Fairlight CMI Music Station
This experiment is made possible by:
- Three.js, the WebGL JavaScript 3D library.
- Tone.js, a Web Audio framework for creating interactive music in the browser.
- The Web Audio API, the WebGL API, the WebXR device API.
- Three-mesh-ui, a small library for building VR user interfaces.
- Boxed Ear Roland CR78 audio samples library by Rory Dow.
AR Synth is a part of Music, Makers & Machines, the first comprehensive overview of a music movement presented on Google Arts & Culture.
